Cotton Dyeing ‘with No Wastewater’
A new water-saving dyeing and finishing method for cotton fabrics has been created by the specialty chemical supplier Archroma in collaboration with the Portuguese textile mill Somelos. This method produces no wastewater, according to the manufacturers.
According to reports, the new procedure is a dry dyeing/oxidation finishing combination with an ozone treatment that only uses water to prepare the dye and oxidation baths.
