Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has received the support of textile merchants in Idumota Market on Lagos Island.
Leaders and traders from 10 textile divisions of the market, sporting APC-branded shirts and caps, pledged their support to Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during a solidarity walk organized by Kudirat Danmole yesterday at Idumota.
The solidarity walk and show of support, according to Danmole, became necessary given Tinubu’s stellar record as governor of Lagos and Sanwo-Olu’s outstanding so far, as well as their respective leaders’ respective accomplishments.
Her words: “Supporting Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, our overworked governor, and other APC candidates is the main goal of this rally, especially in Lagos Island. The fact that Tinubu accomplished a lot in Lagos while serving as governor makes him the ideal candidate for the position. We support Sanwo-Olu because of the wonderful things they are doing on the Island and because we know they will give their all. Nigeria will be led by them to the Promised Land.”
She continued by urging traders to cast their votes for the party’s candidates in large numbers.
Her words: “I would advise all traders to cast their ballots for Tinubu, the governor, and other APC candidates in large numbers.”
Risikat Odumosu, the Iyaloja-General of Textile Traders in Lagos Island, agreed with Danmole and reaffirmed that all of the market’s vendors would support Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, and other party candidates in the election.
